The Office New Boss Episode

A Start-Up Essential: Nailing Your Logo Design
As you invest time and money into giving your new enterprise a running start, it's easy to consider things like branding irrelevant to your ongoing operation. The whole ballpark of promotion and marketing probably seems very inconsequential right now: you and your company do brilliant work, you put your customers first and wasting their time on your 'company image' is a complete contradiction of your values. You're probably not going to need a logo to sell your business.
Imagine you're the new guy at work again. The place is overstaffed and you work with many similarly talented people. How do you set about winning these people over? To your horror, it turns out that several other people have a similar name to you. If you diligently keep your head down and work, work, work, you might get noticed, but only by your direct boss. So how do you grab the attention of your workmates, people who may be an important part of networking later in your career?
In a year's time, they may rate you because you're a decent sort of person. But for now, you'll need to try something simpler. Perhaps you disarm them with a joke, or project an air of confidence with your attitude or dress-sense. The sad fact is that your start-up needs to make similar little moves to facilitate a reputation in the longer term. If you put yourself through the process of discovering the right business logos and brand strategy, your customer service values can be upheld to the greatest extent.
Doing it right first time is essential too. Returning to the office comparison, a bad brand identity can be like making the worst faux pas possible on your first day. Like trash-talking your boss' favorite sports team or running over his dog. Endeavour to find the right design agency for your custom logo design, and always insist on the design that champions your values.
